The Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC) on May 20, 2024, issued the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Deviation Settlement Mechanism and Related Matters) Regulations, 2024.
The objective of these Regulations is to maintain grid discipline and grid security, as envisaged under the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Indian Electricity Grid Code) Regulations, 2023 and State Grid Code as amended/replaced from time to time, through the commercial mechanism for settlement of the Deviation, made by the users of the grid, between the drawals/injections viz-a-viz corresponding schedules.
These Regulations shall be applicable to the buyers and the sellers i.e. the State Distribution Licensee (s), State Sector Generating Stations and Open Access Customers connected to the State Grid and shall also include the Directorate of Energy, Government of Himachal Pradesh, HPPTCL i.e. State transmission utility as well as the SLDC: Provided that in case any such buyer or seller operates through any agency, these Regulations shall be applicable to such agency (ies) as well.
