The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on May 22, 2024, notified regarding the Test Schedule & Test Procedure (TSTP) in respect of a new criterion for rejection of the request for allocation of unique porting code introduced through the Telecommunication Mobile Number Portability (Ninth Amendment) Regulations, 2024.
This is in reference to Telecommunication Mobile Number Portability (Ninth Amendment) Regulations, 2024, dated March 14, 2024, which will come into force on July 01, 2024.
The following has been stated:
• It has stated that the Test Schedule & Test Procedure (TSTP) and explanatory note to the testing team in respect of “a new criterion for rejection of the request for allocation of unique porting code” have been enclosed with this notification.
• The tests are to be performed in one LSA of each MNP Zone Service Area and by every TSP in that zone.
