The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on May 21, 2024, issued the Master Circular for Research Analysts.
The following has been stated namely: -
• To enable users to have access to the applicable circulars with in respect to RAs at one place, this Master Circular is being issued
• The provisions of circulars issued until May 15, 2024, have been incorporated in this Master Circular, which supersedes the Master Circular for RAs dated June 15, 2023. With the issuance of this Master Circular, the directions/instructions contained in the circulars listed out in the Appendix to this Master Circular, to the extent they relate to the RAs, shall stand rescinded.
• The following have been stated in the Master Circular namely: -
o Guidelines for Research Analysts
o Administrative and Supervision of Research Analysts
o Investor Complaints
o Technology Related
