The Municipal Corporation of Amritsar on April 30, 2024, notified regarding the registration of pet dogs.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the registration of annual renewal of all pet dogs within the limits of Amritsar Municipal Corporation shall be mandatory.
• It states that 2 passport-size photographs of the pet dog, a vaccination card, and 200 Rupees fee shall be required for the registration.
• It states that in case of non-registration, the owner of the pet dog shall be charged a registration of 200 Rupees per year + a fine of 500 Rupees/challan per year, and action will be taken to capture the dog shall be taken.
