The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) on April 29, 2024, notified regarding the Restriction on the deployment of workers working outdoors under the West Bengal Urban Employment Scheme (WBUES) due to Heat Wave conditions.
The following has been stated:
• The workers under West Bengal Urban Employment Scheme (WBUES) who are deployed on outdoor duty shall not perform duty from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. till May 31, 2024.
• The workers will be engaged for jobs as usual as per their departmental requirements and directives thereof outside the above said timings in the early hours of morning and evening.
