Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Tamil Nadu on May 03, 2024, notified Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Amendment) Act, 2024 further to amend the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994.

The following has been stated: -

•In section 171 in sub-section (1), for the expression “house tax”, the expression “property tax” shall be substituted.

•In section 188, in sub-section (1), in clause (a), for the expression “house tax”, the expression “property tax” shall be substituted.

The amendments shall come into force at once.

The detailed amendments are given in the document attached below.
