The Government of Tamil Nadu on May 27, 2024, issued a notification regarding the higher education sector in the state.
The following has been stated: -
•In the country, that has the largest number of young people in the world, especially in Tamil Nadu, higher education is essential for the development of young people. Considering that it is possible to bring prosperity and progress in the lives of the youth through the higher education provided by the government, in the last 3 years in the government led by Mr. M. K. Stalin, the hero of the Dravida model regime, numerous good projects have been implemented effectively on behalf of the higher education sector.
•In particular, the state is first to provide professional skills to the youth, the Innovation Girl program which provides 1000 rupees per month to students to continue their higher education without interruption, the vocational skills development program for students, the Chief Minister's Research Grant Scheme, the Chief Minister's Research Incentive Scheme, and many other schemes which fulfill the educational needs of students.
•In terms of higher education standards and basic infrastructure facilities, Tamil Nadu has been ranked as the premier and leading state in India.
•Tamil Nadu is the first in India in higher education the state has taken great care of the welfare of the students studying in higher education, especially in rural areas, so that the poor and needy students can get higher education.
