The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on May 28, 2024, issued the extension of the period of concurrent running of IS 7285 (Part 2): 2017- “Refillable Seamless Steel Gas Cylinders – Quenched and Tempered Steel Cylinders With Tensile Strength Less Than 1100 Mpa (112 Kgf/Mm²)”, with and without Amendment No. 1.
The circular regarding extension of the last date of implementation of Amendment No. 1 to IS 7285 (Part 2): 2017 is attached. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority. All Branch Offices are requested to inform the same to the Licensees / Applicants under their jurisdiction and ensure the implementation of Amendment No. 1 to IS 7285 (Part 2): 2017 by June 02, 2025.
