The Andaman & Nicobar Administration on May 24, 2024, notified regarding the Value Added Tax (VAT) regulations.
The following has been stated:
• All the Bar owners, CSD canteens, POL outlets and all stakeholders are required to comply with VAT regulations, including accurate reporting of sales, timely filing of VAT returns, and payment of taxes as applicable to the VAT department (DC office, South Andaman).
• It has been stated that Failure to adhere with VAT regulations may result in penalties and legal consequences as stipulated under the VAT Regulation and Rules of A & N Islands.
• It has further requested all the stakeholders to familiarize themselves with the VAT requirements and cooperate fully with the designated officials to facilitate the smooth implementation of VAT in A & N islands.
