The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on May 31, 2024, notified regarding the instructions to Principal Entities under Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulations, 2018.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that messages containing other URLs/Apks/OTT links/callback numbers shall be stopped from further transmission, and only whitelisted URL/Apks/OTT links/callback numbers shall be allowed in the content templates.
• It states that consumer consent shall be accepted by DCA facility for creating a unified platform to register customers digitally across all service providers and PEs.
• It states that the Exchange shall make necessary measures for effective implementation of the guidelines given in Annexures A, B, and C, for sending commercial communication using telecom resources through Voice Calls or SMS, as per Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulations, 2018 (“TCCCPR-2018”) and various directions for prevention of Unsolicited Commercial Communication (“UCC”).
