EHS ComplianceThe Government of Delhi on May 30, 2024, issued the notification regarding the proper Fire Safety arrangements at Bonded Warehouse (BWH).

The following has been stated namely: -

• All Licensees (L1/L1F) are to ensure proper Fire Safety arrangements at their respective BWHs. 

• The following actions must be undertaken to avoid any untoward incident namely: -

o All BWHs should be equipped with adequate Fire-Fighting Equipments. 

o Fire Fighting Equipments should be checked periodically and refilled on a regular basis.

o Liquor is a highly inflammable item, so no stock of liquor/spillage, etc. should be left unattended as the same can cause any untoward fire incident at the BWH.

o All the BWH employees should have adequate knowledge/training to operate fire-fighting equipments provided in the BWH.

o BWH should have valid Fire Insurance at all time.

o Electrical Fittings at the BWH should be periodically checked to mitigate any potential risk of fire due to short circuits, etc.

o Fire hazardous materials should not exist in the licensed premises/BWH. 

o a Fire Safety Audit/Mock Drill shall also be conducted at the BWHs
