The Government of Lakshadweep on May 29, 2024, notified Lakshadweep Private Security Agencies (Private Security for Cash Transportation Activities) Rules, 2022.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 2 lays down various definitions of terms like ATM, and cash management agency.
•Rule 3 specifies Personal security for cash transportation activities, etc.
•Rule 4 mentions the Use of specially designed and equipped cash vans.
•Rule 5 specifies the number of trained staff required per cash van.
These rules shall have effect for a period of six months from May 29, 2024.
