Commercial ComplianceThe Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on May 28, 2024, issued a notification regarding the date of establishment and date of withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to Steel Cylinders for Compressed Gases.

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be May 24, 2024, -

• IS 8198 (Part 11): 2024 Steel Cylinders for Compressed Gases — Code of Practice Part 11 Methyl Chloride Gas (Second Revision).

• IS 11839: 2024 Procedure for Splash Proof Testing of Automotive Vehicles (First Revision).

• IS 13558 (Part 5): 2024 ISO 7752-5: 2021 Cranes — Control Layout and Characteristics Part 5 Bridge and Gantry Crane (First Revision).

• IS 16593 (Part 14): 2024 IEC 60974-14: 2018 Arc Welding Equipment Part 14 Calibration, Validation and Consistency Testing.

• IS 18532: 2024 Round Steel Wire Rope Used as Balance Ropes in Mines — Specification.

• IS 18591: 2024 Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil Structures — Code of Practice.

• IS 19034: 2024 BMX Bicycles — Safety Requirements and Methods of Test.

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Date of Withdrawal shall be June 24, 2024: -

• IS 8198 (Part 11) - 1988 Code of Practice for Steel Cylinders for Compressed Gases Part 11 Methyl Chloride Gas (First Revision).

• IS 11839 - 1986 Procedure for Splash Proof Testing of Automotive Vehicles.

• IS 13558 (Part 5) : 1993 ISO 7752-5 : 1985 Cranes — Controls — Layout and Characteristics Part 5 Overhead Travelling Cranes and Portal Bridge Cranes.
