The District Disaster Management Authority(DDMA), Gurugram on May 31, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Heat wave conditions.
The employers and contractors of workers, labourers, and the RWA Societies are directed to arrange the following facilities for their employees: -
• Availability of clean drinking water at the workplace.
• Arrangement of shade, ventilation & water coolers at workplace.
• Provision of ORS/Glucose Kits/Shikanji/Nimbu Pani, water bottles, and Ice Packs for workers.
• Minimum outdoor work is allowed from 12 PM to 4PM.
• Covering the medical costs of workers exposed to heat wave related illnesses.
• Avoiding the calling of house help/domestic maids during the afternoon time.
