NSE issued a circular regarding the Dummy Securities in the e-IPO Platform

Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE) on June 06, 2024, issued a circular regarding the Dummy Securities in the e-IPO Platform.

The exchange shall perform internal order/bidding activity every day before the start of market hours as part of pre-market sanity checks. 

In view of the above, dummy securities/symbols shall be incorporated into the e-IPO platform. It may be noted that these dummy symbols shall have the last 7 characters as "NSETEST".

In this regard, market participants are requested to note that the inclusion of dummy securities/symbols is purely intended for internal testing of the Exchange, hence, market participants shall ignore receipt of any such data in the form of report/feed/broadcast. Any reference/processing/activity/consumption and consequent results on the said data shall be at their own discretion/risk.

The above change shall be implemented in a live environment from June 10, 2024, and shall be effective until further notice.
