The Government of Tamil Nadu on June 05, 2024, issued amendments to the Tamil Nadu Online Gambling Authority and Regulation of Online Games Rules, 2023.
The following amendments have been stated:
• For rule 11, which states “Leave sanctioning authority”, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:
o "11. Leave. - The Chairperson of the Gaming Authority may avail leave under intimation to the Government.
o A Member of the Gaming Authority may avail leave with the permission of the Chairperson.
• In rule 13, which states “Other conditions of service”, for sub-rule (1), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:
o The other terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson and Members of the Gaming Authority (not provided for in these rules) shall be as prescribed by the Government, from time to time."
