The Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoC&I) on June 05, 2024, issued an order on Compliance of Rule 9 of Ammonium Nitrate Rules, 2012.
The following has been stated:
• It has been directed to ensure compliance of Rule 9 of Ammonium Nitrate Rules, 2012, regarding the barcoding of Ammonium Nitrate bags and their tracking. For this purpose of the same, facility of a barcode reader for uploading of these data to the ANRS system should be made so that tracking of Ammonium Nitrate bags can be done to prevent pilferage in the interest of National Security and Public Safety.
