Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) on June 07, 2024, notified the Cinematograph (Adjudication of Penalty) Rules, 2024.

The following has been stated: -

•Rule 2 lays down various definitions of the terms like appellate authority, and authorized officer.

•Rule 3 is about the Appointment of the authorized officer.

•Rule 4 specifies the Powers of the authorized officer.

•Rule 5 mentions the Factors to be considered for adjudication of penalty.

They shall come into force on June 08, 2024.
