The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) on June 07, 2024, notified the Draft Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Room Air Conditioners), Amendment Regulation, 2024 to further amend the
Objections or suggestions may be received from the persons concerning the said draft amendment regulations before the expiry of the period of thirty days.
It shall come into force with effect from January 01, 2026.
The following has been stated-
•In the said regulations, in Schedule, under the heading, ―“Particulars to be displayed on labels of room air conditioner’’, for the figure, letters and words, ―(1) Label design, (i) Dimension, (ii) Colour scheme (iv) The complete specimen of a printed label for room air conditioner” shall be substituted.
