The Government of Andhra Pradesh on June 07, 2024, issued a notification regarding Academic Audit from the Academic Year 2024-25.
The Director of Technical Education, A.P, has further reported that for the effective "Academic Audit" the Committees consisting branch wise experts shall visit the Institutes at least once a semester. The Audit for both Government, Aided and Private Polytechnics and D.Pharmacy Colleges shall be done and as an outcome, each polytechnic will be ranked based on scores. The conduct of Academic audits improves the Academic standards of Polytechnics and the ranking of Institutes helps the Public in choosing quality and standard Polytechnic during Admissions. The Academic Audit insists the Institutes maintain a record of Academic activities, which helps for the NBA accreditation.
Government, after careful examination of the matter hereby accords permission to the Director of Technical Education, and the Secretary, State Board of Technical Education & Training, A.P to take up an Academic Audit to monitor the Academic standards in the Government/Government Aided/Private Polytechnics, Pharmacy and Engineering Colleges having Diploma Level Courses in the State of A.P and keep the Information on the standards of Polytechnics in the Public domain for the Public reference. The academic audit process should be transparent and shall be done through a software application that should continuously update data in the public domain in an online mode. State Board of Technical Education & Training, A.P may grade the Government/Government Aided/Private Polytechnics, Pharmacy and Engineering Colleges having Diploma Level Courses, together to help the stakeholders in choosing Institutes at the time of admissions. The academic audit should help the Institutes in getting the NBA accreditation
