MCX notified regarding the modifications in contract specification and the Launch of the Cotton Futures Contract

Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Ltd. (MCX) on June 03, 2024, notified regarding the modifications in contract specification and the Launch of the Cotton Futures Contract.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that the Exchange shall modify the contract specifications for Cotton Futures from November 2024 and onward expiry contracts.

• It states that the revised contract specification has been specified in Annexure – 1 with regards to the Trading Unit, Delivery Unit, Tick size, and Additional delivery centers.

• It states that the modified trading unit and Delivery unit - 12 Candy (25 Bales) shall be applicable from November 2024 and onward expiry contracts.

• It states that modified tick size (minimum price movement) - Rs 10 shall be applicable from running July 2024 and September 2024 expiry contracts; and for launch of new season's November 2024 and onward expiry contracts.

• It states that trading shall be allowed only up to 5:00 p.m. on the date of expiry of the contract.

The revised Cotton Candy Futures Contract specifications shall be applicable from June 14, 2024.
