The Government of Karnataka on June 10, 2024, notified the Karnataka Professional Civil Engineers Act, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•Section 2 lays down various definitions of the terms like Registered Civil Engineer, and Engineering Designs.
•Section 3 specifies the Establishment and Composition of the Karnataka Council of Professional Civil Engineers.
•Section 4 mentions the President and Vice-President of the Council.
•Section 5 specifies the Mode of Elections.
•It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
