The Government of Kerala on June 04, 2024, issued the Kerala Water Authority (Water Supply) (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 to further amend the Kerala Water Authority (Water Supply) Regulations, 1991.
The following amendment has been stated:
• In Clause 2 of Appendix ‘A', in sub-clause (b), instead of item (iii), the following item shall be substituted, namely:
(iii) “She/He holds a Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or ITI Certificate in Civil/Mechanical/Sanitary Engineering or equivalent qualification recognised by AICTE/Institution of Engineers (India) or a certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or Industrial Training Department, Government of Kerala on successful completion of certificate course in Plumbing or Sanitary Engineering (one-year duration) as recommended by the Board of Examiners of Plumbing License Examination or Arise group of Kudumbasree or Startup companies registered with startup mission to carry out household work using IT platform".
They shall come into force at once.
