The Excise and Taxation Department, of Haryana on June 07, 2024, issued the Haryana Restaurant (Consumption of Liquor) Amendment Rules, 2024, to further amend the Haryana Restaurant (Consumption of Liquor) Rules, 1988.
This shall come into force on June 12, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In rule 5(1) which states regarding "Possession of country liquor and foreign liquor", shall be substituted with "(1) Subject to other provisions of these rules and policy/orders/instructions issued by the competent authority, a license in form L-52 (Tavern) may be granted in urban areas on the following fee structure: -
o Gurugram - 3% of license fee of zone
o Faridabad, Panchkula, and Sonepat - 2% of license fee of zone
o Other remaining districts - 1% of license fee of zone"
