The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on June 12, 2024, notified regarding the issuance of RCMC for Medical Devices.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the EPC for Medical Devices is yet to start regular functioning and could not onboard on the Common Digital platform of DGFT for issuance of RCMC, as the industry is facing difficulty in getting RCMC and clearance of their goods at Customs point.
• It states that till such time EPC for Medical Devices shall start proper functioning and the RCMC shall be issued by the EEPC INDIA and any other concerned EPC for Medical Devices.
• It states that authorities shall accept the RCMC for medical devices issued by EEPC INDIA and any other concerned EPC till further orders.
