Finance & Taxation Compliance The Finance (Excise) Department, Rajasthan on June 12, 2024, issued the Rajasthan Excise (Amendment) Rules, 2024, to further amend the Rajasthan Excise Rules, 1956.

This shall come into force from April 01, 2024.

The following has been stated namely: -

• In rule 69B, which states “Fees for certain permits”, after the existing clause (d), the following new clause (e) shall be added, namely:

o “(e) Every wholesale licensee of hemp shall pay a permit fee of Rs. 1.00 per kilogram for the transportation of hemp.”
