Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Maharashtra on June 21, 2024, issued a circular regarding the implementation of the road safety initiative.

The following has been stated: -

•Due to heavy traffic on the roads and a lack of public awareness about road safety, the number of accidents is also increasing day by day. Accidents not only cause huge loss of life and money but also result in complete upheaval to the concerned family.

•Information/knowledge and training imparted to school students which benefit them personally and they are very eager to transmit their knowledge to their family and society, it is easy to create public awareness by keeping in mind that school students are trained in Traffic Safety and Control, Position Drill, Fire Fighting, Civil Defence, First Aid, and Rescue. Knowledge about the work as well as practical training is imparted which not only creates awareness about road safety among the students but also the virtues of philanthropy, brotherhood, and discipline.

•Sabab, Road Safety Force and Civil Defence Organization (RSP & CD), Kolhapur, to cooperate with the organization in organizing brainstorming sessions, seminars, teacher and student training, camps, etc. provide appropriate training among school students will help the students to gain more knowledge about road safety, increase awareness and in turn reduce the number of accidents.

•All the directors, joint directors, deputy directors, and education officers under the education department should give instructions in letters to the officers and school management in their area of work to cooperate in organizing student training, camps, etc.
