The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on June 14, 2024, issued the Draft Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Amendment Regulations, 2024 to further amend the e Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Regulations, 2018.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In Table 2, In column no. 7, against S. No. 7 relating to ‘Esters expressed as ethyl acetate (g/l of absolute alcohol), Max’, the entry ‘0.2’ shall be substituted with ‘3.0’.
Objections and suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Food and Drug Administration Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi - 110002, or may be sent through e-mail at [email protected];
The objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to said draft regulations, before the expiry of the period i.e. 60 days from the date of the publication of this notification, shall be considered by the Food Authority.
