The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on June 21, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Guidelines for Procurement /Installation of Solar Power Panels by SEZ Developers to provide power supply in common areas of Special Economic Zones.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Requests were received from EPCES and SEZ on the Developers for the Installation of Solar Power Panels as Capital goods in SEZs for Solar Power Generation for captive use.
• The Development Commissioners are requested to consider such requests from Developers/Co-developers in terms of Para l(i) of the Power Guidelines dated February 16, 2016, issued by this Department.
The Guidelines are attached to the notification.
