The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) on June 24, 2024, notified the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (Merit Order Despatch and Optimization of Power Purchase Cost) Regulations, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•Regulation 2 lays down various definitions of the terms like total transfer capability, and technical minimum.
•Regulation 3 specifies the extent of application.
•Regulation 4 specifies the general conditions and principles for the preparation of MOD Stack.
•Regulation 5 mentions about the periodicity and date of preparation of the MOD Stack.
These regulations shall come into force from June 24, 2024.
