CDSL notified regarding the Validation of KYC Records with KRA

Industry Specific ComplianceThe Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) on June 21, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Validation of KYC Records with KRA.

The following has been stated namely: -

• KRAs have provided the list of KYC records that are not found to be valid due to various reasons (including non-validated PANs/Non-Aadhaar based) updated from April 01, 2024, to May 31, 2024.

• Based on the details of non-validated PANs received from KRAs updated as of May 31, 2024, list of DP-wise accounts identified against said invalidated PANs was made available by CDSL in the DPs billing folder.

• The aforesaid Demat accounts will be frozen for both - debit and credit with freeze reason code “27 – Account holder related–KYC non-compliant” on Saturday, July 06, 2024, considering the updated data made available by KRAs as of July 04, 2024
