The Jhansi Cantonment Board, Government of Uttar Pradesh, on June 13, 2024, issued a notification regarding payment of outstanding building tax/water tax.
The following has been stated: -
•The owners/occupiers/tenants or their heirs of all the buildings/houses/properties under the cantonment area are hereby informed that they should pay the outstanding building tax/water tax-related bill amount and outstanding water charges till the year 2024-25.
•The amount is to be deposited by June 30, 2024, because the demand notice charge will be levied from July 01, 2024, and the building tax from September 01, 2024. Additional interest at the rate of 1% per month will be payable on water tax. Action will be taken against non-paying defaulters under the provisions of the Cantonment Act 2006, the entire responsibility of which will be on the concerned defaulter.
