The Labour Department, Punjab on June 24, 2024, notified regarding the paid holiday on account of Bye-elections to various Assembly Constituencies of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that on account of Bye-elections to various Assembly Constituencies of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal on July 10, 2024 (Wednesday) shall be declared as a paid holiday.
• It states the employees who are voters of the 34-Jalandhar West (SC) Assembly Constituency working in Shops and Commercial Establishments in Punjab, shall be granted a paid holiday for a full day on July 10, 2024.
