Finance & Taxation Compliance The Government of Himachal Pradesh on June 22, 2024, issued a notification regarding the GST Council recommending the reduction of GST on carton boxes from 18 to 12 percent.

The 53rd GST Council held in New Delhi recommended reducing GST on all kinds of carton boxes from 18 to 12 percent. This reduction will help both horticulturists and industry in saving costs.

Himachal Pradesh had been persistently pleading for reducing GST on apple carton boxes.

The Council took several decisions to ease small and medium taxpayers' compliance burden and grievances.
