NSE notified regarding the Modification in Staggered Delivery Period and Expiry dates in Commodity derivatives contracts

Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE) on June 24, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Modification in Staggered Delivery Period and Expiry dates in Commodity derivatives contracts.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The staggered delivery period in the Commodity Futures contracts shall be modified as follows:

“The staggered delivery period shall be the last three working days including the last trading day (expiry day) of the contract.”

• The modification in staggered delivery period shall be applicable for contracts where staggered delivery is scheduled after July 01, 2024.

• The expiry dates of the Options contracts are linked to the tender period (Staggered delivery period) of the underlying Futures/Futures with the same underlying.

• The expiry dates of the Options contracts (already launched) shall also undergo a revision as provided in Annexure B.

• The revision in expiry and maturity dates of the contracts for the symbols mentioned in Annexure B shall be effective from June 25, 2024. 

• Trading members are requested to upload the latest co_contract.gz file available on the NSE Extranet (Path: /comtftp/comtcommon) before trading on June 25, 2024.
