Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Finance (Tax) Department, Rajasthan on June 27, 2024, issued a provision of faceless management in a phased manner in the administration of GST-related works in the Commercial Tax Department.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that the Online Integrated Tax Management, Integrated Excise Management System, and Jan-Aadhar wallet shall be further strengthened and expanded in the state.

• It states that a new faceless/randomized system shall be implemented to ensure equal distribution of taxpayers, balance personnel workload, maintain work continuity despite vacancies and administrative factors, and uphold neutral and impartial work-related objectivity.

• It states that this system shall be implemented for mainly 5 types of works related to GST (scrutiny, business audit, enforcement, refund, appeal), which shall be implemented by establishing coordination and synchronization with the functionality of GSTIN.

• It states the procedure of faceless/randomized tax administration as that it shall be calculated by dividing the total workload by the total number of officers assigned, and the arrangements shall first be made only for selected works and areas.
