The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MOAFW) on June 19, 2024, issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Ninth Amendment) Order, 2024, to further amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
This shall come into force on June 27, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In Schedule VI – “List of plants/plant materials permitted import with additional declarations and special conditions”, against serial no. 789 relating to Vigna subterranea (Bambara groundnut) after the entries in column (3) “Dry grains for consumption”, column (4), (5), and (6), shall be inserted.
