The Government of Maharashtra on June 28, 2024, issued a notification regarding certain amendments in Schedule 'B' of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002.
The following has been stated: -
•In SCHEDULE 'B',
(1)In entry 5, in sub-entry (a), in clauses (i) and (ii),
(i)In column (2), for the words "Municipal Corporations of the Brihan Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and within such other areas for such period as may be notified by the State Government in the Official Gazette", the words "State of Maharashtra" shall be substituted.
(ii) In column (3), against clauses (i) and (ii) for the figures, and signs " 24%" the figures and sign "21%" shall be substituted.
These amendments shall come into effect from June 29, 2024.
