The National E-Governance Services Ltd. (NeSL) on July 01, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Extension of the deadline for Phase-out of existing L0 Registered Devices from the Aadhaar authentication ecosystem.
The following has been stated namely: -
• NeSL IU & DDE registered users are to take note of the extension of the deadline for phase out of existing L0 Registered Devices from Aadhaar authentication ecosystem.
• The phase out of the L0 Biometric device is extended based on Model IDs. No L0 RD Biometric device will be allowed for Digital Signature post-September 30, 2024, and all transactions received using L0 RDs will be rejected. In this regard.
• No L0 RD devices are to be used for Aadhar based Digital Signature process
