The Agricultural, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Department of Maharashtra on June 28, 2024, issued the Draft Maharashtra Goseva Ayog Rules, 2024.
The following has been stated namly: -
• It states that the non-official members of the Ayog shall be entitled to receive traveling and daily allowances for attending the meeting of the Ayog.
• It states that the Secretary of the Ayog shall work as an administrative head of the Ayog.
• It states that applications shall be made in Form I and Form II, with the registration fees of Rs 1000/-.
• It states that a trustee shall sign every application.
• It states that any person interested in cattle welfare and believes that there is mismanagement in the care and maintenance of cattle, misappropriation of government subsidies, or unlawful act committed by any trustee shall file a complaint to the Ayog.
• It states that Goseva Ayog shall prepare an Annual Report for every financial year which shall be submitted before July 31 of the next financial year.

The Objections or suggestions, if any, with respect to these draft rules shall be taken into consideration till July 27, 2024, and may be sent by post to "the Deputy Secretary (Animal Husbandry) to the Government of Maharashtra, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Department, Mantralaya (Annexe), Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, Madam Cama Marg, Mantralaya, Mumbai 400032".
