The Government of Maharashtra on July 01, 2024, issued the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) (Amendment) Bill, 2024 to further amend the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In section 7, in sub-section (3),-
o in clause (a), after the words "Chief Secretary" the words " or Additional Chief Secretary" shall be inserted;
o in clause (h), for the word "Secretary" the words "Member- Secretary" shall be substituted.
• In section 8, in sub-section (1) after the words "five years from the date of their nomination" the words " or till they attain _sixty-five years of age, whichever is earlier" shall be inserted.
• In section 11, in sub-section (3), in clause (a), after the words " Chief Secretary" "the words "or Additional Chief Secretary" shall be inserted.
