The Inspectorate of Factories, Himachal Pradesh on July 02, 2024, notified regarding the grant of paid holidays to employees on day of poll.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that every person employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking or any other establishment and entitled to vote at an election to the House of the People or the legislative Assembly of a State shall on account of Bye-election to 10-Dehra, 38-Hamirpur and 51-Nalagarh Assembly Constituencies of Himachal Pradesh, be granted a paid holiday on July 10, 2024.
• It states that there shall be a special paid holiday on July 10, 2024, which is poll day for the registered voters of Punjab State working in the border areas of Una, Kangra, Chamba and Solan, Districts of HP, on account of bye-election to Assembly Constituency (34-Jalandhar West-SC) Punjab.
• It states that there shall be a special paid holiday on July 10, 2024, which is poll day for the registered voters of Uttrakhand State working in the border areas of Sirmour and Shimla Districts of Himachal Pradesh, on account of bye-election to Assembly Constituency (04-Badrinath and Manglaur) Uttrakhand.
