The Department of Telecommunication (DoT) on July 04, 2024, notified draft Telecommunications (Digital Bharat Nidhi) Rules, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 2 lays down various definitions of the terms like DBN implementer and DBN.
•Rule 3 specifies the Powers and Functions of the administrator.
•Rule 4 mentions the Funding from the Digital Bharat Nidhi.
•Rule 5 lays down the Criteria for undertaking schemes and projects under the DBN.
The objection or suggestion shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of a period of thirty days from July 04, 2024.
