The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on July 05, 2024, issued an Amendment in the Policy condition of SI.No. 55 & 57, Chapter 10 Schedule-2, ITC(IIS) Export Policy, 2018.
The following has been stated:
• The Existing Notification No. 52/2023 dated 12.12.2023 is amended to the extent that the export of Rice (Basmati and Non-Basmati) to EU member states and other European Countries Namely the United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland only will require Certificate of Inspection from EIC/EIAs. Export to remaining European countries will not require a Certificate of Inspection by the Export Inspection Council/Export Inspection Agency for export from the date of this notification for a period of 6 months.
