The Directorate General of Civil Aviation, (DGCA) on July 08, 2024, issued a notification related to Requirements for issue of Safety Clearance to Ground Handling Service Provider (GHSP).
The following has been stated-
•This CAR is applicable to the following types of organisations:
oGround Handling Services Provider (GHSP) at licensed airports and civil enclaves.
oAircraft Operators providing GH services to their own passengers and the aircraft in their fleet (self-handling) at licensed airports and civil enclaves.
oAerodrome operators providing GH services, which are also considered ground handling service providers at licensed airports and civil enclaves.
•The GHSP providing or intending to provide ground handling service at Indian airport(s) shall have a Valid permission under provisions of AIC 03/2022 or Airports Authority of India (Ground Handling Services) Regulations, 2018 as the case may be and Security clearance from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).
•The Accountable Manager of GHSP shall submit application to DGCA to issue safety clearance for providing ground handling services at the airport on the proforma given in Annexure-I
•The training programme shall cover the minimum requirements as specified in Annexure-II.
