The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on July 09, 2024, issued the Master Circular on Surveillance of Securities Market.
The following has been stated namely: -
• This Master Circular covers various circulars issued by the Integrated Surveillance Department (ISD) of SEBI and operational as of the date of issuance of this Master Circular.
• The circulars rescinded by the Master Circular are listed in Annexure 7
• The following is covered under the Master Circular: -
o Trading Rules and Shareholding in dematerialized mode
o Monitoring of unauthenticated news circulated by SEBI Registered Market Intermediaries through various modes of communication
o Disclosure reporting under the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015
This shall come into force from July 09, 2024.
