The Government of Maharashtra on July 01, 2024, issued a circular regarding Section 60 (A) of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act (Disclosure of specified information).
The following has been stated: -
•As per the prescribed provision of Section 60 (A) of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, disclosure of specified information is mandatory by various departments of the Municipal Corporation.
•It is mandatory for the departments to publish the information of their department and update the said information every three months. The information must be published by all the departments on the notice board of their office and the website of the Municipal Corporation.
•It was also informed earlier about publishing the office circular from time to time and settling it. However, it appears that some departments have not yet updated the information published under Section 60 (A) of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act.
•All the Account Heads of the Municipal Corporation are requested to upload the information of Section 60 (A) of all the departments under their control by the end of June 2024 on the website of the Pune Municipal Corporation by the end of July 31, 2024, and send the completion report to the office.
