The Government of Goa on July 11, 2024, issued the Goy Mukhya Mantri Prashikshanarthi Yojana (GMMPY) for student internship under the Coding and Robotics Education in Schools (CARES) Scheme from the year 2023-24.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It aims to provide short-term exposure for selected candidates across various Verticals/Divisions/Units of PMU-CARES as interns.
• It provides a list of domains/areas for which internship is invited is enclosed as Annexure ‘A’.
• It states that internships shall be available throughout the year based on the requirements of PMU-CARES.
• It states the eligibility criteria for Indian students applying for an internship at PMU-CARES include Indian National bonafide of any recognized University/Institution of repute within India or abroad and conditions regarding completion of exams and marks obtained, with flexibility for recent graduates awaiting higher studies.
• It states that the internship period shall be for six weeks to six months, extendable by six months in exceptional cases based on intern performance and need.
• It states that interns shall be required to have their own laptops, and PMU-CARES shall provide them with working space, Internet facility, and other necessities.
• It states that interested applicants shall apply online at the PMU-CARES website from the 1st to the 10th of each month, up to three months in advance but no later than one month before their desired internship start month.
• It states that interns shall be entitled to 6 days of leave per six months (calculated pro-rata for fractional periods).
The validity of this scheme shall be for 03 years or till the validity of the Coding and Robotics Education in Schools (CARES) Scheme, whichever is earlier.
