CBIC amended an older notification related to the exemption of the goods when imported into India

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) on July 12, 2024, issued a notification to amend the Notification No. 50/2017-Customs, dated June 30, 2017, related to the exemption of the goods when imported into India.

The following amendments have been stated:

• In the Table, -

o after S. No. 544 and the entries relating thereto, S. No. 544A and entries have been inserted.

o after S. No. 612 and the entries relating thereto, S. No. 613 and entries have been inserted.

• In the Annexure, after Condition No. 117 and the entries relating thereto, the following Condition 118 entries shall be inserted.

This notification shall come into force from July 15, 2024.
