The Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department, Tamil Nadu on July 02, 2024, issued the amendment to the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act, 1947.
The following has been amended namely: -
• The following rules have been inserted namely: -
o 2A which states “Application for registration of establishment”
o 2B which states “Issue of registration certificate for establishment”
o 2C which states “Intimation of existing establishments”
o 2D which states “Amendment of Registration Certificate”
o 6A which states “First-aid Facilities”
• The following Forms have been inserted namely: -
o FORM Y which states “Application for Registration”
o FORM Z which states “Registration Certificate”
o FORM ZA which states “Register of Shops and Establishments”
o FORM ZB which states “Intimation by Existing Establishment”
